When I asked the chicklets and their friends to pose for this picture and told them what the heading would say, they were confused. They said, “Why wouldn’t someone be happy for someone else?” I started to explain but found that I didn’t really know the answer. Chicklets don’t understand jealously, resentment, hatred or greed. Those words don’t exist in their world. So I shrugged and said, “I have no idea why some people aren’t happy for others.” They said, “We are happy for everyone because when someone is happy then we are all happy too.” I kissed all of them and thanked them for posing. I told them I would pass along their chirps and peeps.

My sister Linda showed up today by surprise,
no appointment – so no driving, I was thoroughly
confused. I had to ask myself why she was here
because she lives a full hour drive away.
She came because it’s my b-day the 15th (which is
officially now given the time) and she brought the bracelet
featured in the photo. It is beautiful! I am too blessed!

Is he on the beach because he is lonely or the beach is lonely and he came to give it company?
That is a great question. Often time we stroll along life wondering if we ever will make it, or when we do who will we share it with? No one wants to be alone, everyone wants a companion whether it be the love of your life, a lost child or relative.
Live life to the fullest.
Smile when no one is watching
Give when it’s unexpected,
And do it not alone.

We speak
We soothe, we comfort,
We bring hope where there is despair
We bring life where there is death
We speak
We speak in the voices of our ancestors
We strengthen, we encourage
We bring passion where there is apathy
We bring wisdom where there is confusion
We speak
We speak in the voices of our future
We enlighten, we educate
We bring guidance where there is no direction
We bring light where there is darkness
We speak
We speak to raise new voices
We speak to tell different stories
And so we speak
